For my Social Media Marketing Strategy class, my group was tasked with creating a social media strategy for a company. We chose umano, a local Athenian company that creates shirts with children’s artwork on them. Some of the proceeds from each shirt help fund backpacks full of art supplies for children in areas who would not typically receive any form of art education.
The strategy touches base on umano’s complete digital presence, and ways they can improve to capture more macro conversions. We decided to focus heavily on Pinterest, due to the platform’s high levels of conversion. After each group pitched their strategies, our guest panel of digital marketing professionals declared our presentation as the best. So, yeah, we’re pretty proud.
At the end of February 2017, umano shut down after a good run. While the shop no longer exists, the website still stands.
